My Journey Through the World as a Jewish Person

This is me. I am about to embark on a journey of sorts. It will start on Friday, December 8, 2023 with a cross country trip. As a Jewish person, Hanukkah is an interesting time to travel. As an American, I am both curious and terrified about the current atmosphere of antisemitism. As a sort-of scholar, I am eager to try to document not just what I see, but also what I feel. I know a little bit about law and genealogy and the Holocaust and genocide. I want to share my personal impressions and musings and hope you will as well. To quote a needlepoint pillow I once saw in a judge’s chambers, “Sometimes wrong, but never in doubt.”
